Without additional coverage, many people with Medicare Part D benefits still find prescriptions unaffordable.  I want to make sure that people here in Connecticut can get the affordable medications they need.

That is why I want to increase eligibility for ConnPACE.  In fact, by allowing seniors who have incomes over the current ConnPACE income limits to pay a prorated premium, we can go a long way to ensuring that every senior citizen and person with a disability can affordably get the prescriptions they need.

I have also proposed legislation to create a state prescription bulk purchasing program to allow local pharmacies to pass on bulk-rate saving on to consumers in the form of lower prescription prices.  This would use the purchasing power of the state to push down prescription prices for everyone.
