Connecticut's state budget ended the 2026 fiscal year with a modest surplus while the overall state economy continues to grow at a strong pace.

Fifty trails in Connecticut - including one in Windsor - will soon be improved thanks to about $10.5 million in grants from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP). The investments will plan, build, expand, restore, and improve multi-use trails across the state, encouraging community connection and expanding opportunities to explore the great outdoors.
