Dear Neighbor,

I am proud to share that the Town of Bloomfield will receive  $250,000 though the Community Investment Fund (CIF) program. The CIF planning grant will aid the town in planning for the redevelopment of Bloomfield Center. Specific activities will include a conditions assessments, community outreach and engagement, and establishing an implementation plan.

Being one of the authors that created the legislation for the CIF is one of my greatest legislative successes!  It brings me great pride that communities throughout the state, including ours , are benefiting. I look forward to seeing how the funds for the Bloomfield Center are invested in the redevelopment project.

"Many communities throughout the state are supported through the important work of local small businesses and nonprofits. CIF was established to help give these institutions the funding they need to continue their efforts and expand their reach. I am confident that the Town of Bloomfield will utilize these funds well as they plan to renovate their town center," said Speaker of the House Matthew Ritter (D- Hartford).
