2021 Constituent Survey

We are clearly living in a challenging time. We’re hurting, our friends and neighbors are hurting. It’s an unprecedented pandemic that strains more than just our health.

Thank you for your confidence in choosing me to continue to be your state representative. My attention, our priority, in the 2021 session of the General Assembly is our state’s response to the pandemic. Connecticut has not been as ravaged as other parts of the country. But we still need to be responsible people and work to keep each other safe.

The availability of vaccines is a great blessing. Soon they will be made available to most of Connecticut’s population. Until then, we will all have to stay home when we can, and if we must go out, wear a mask, maintain social distance, wash our hands, get vaccinated, and respect one another.

There will be much more to do, both with the virus and with its effects on our economy, jobs, homes, schools, and health. I’m optimistic for the future.

We’re in this together and together we’ll succeed.

Connecticut’s response to COVID - 19
As we begin to make decisions in the current legislative session, let there be no doubt I will listen to doctors, scientists, and other health care professionals about fighting the pandemic. There have been too many deaths, too many patients, and not enough federal help to abandon our state’s efforts to address the pandemic.
Do you support Governor Lamont’s efforts to suppress the spread of the virus?
Do you follow the advice of health professionals, and support staying home, wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and washing your hands?
Should the state give money to businesses and their employees who have been hurt by the lack of business?
Should Connecticut allow residents and businesses to buy into the state’s health insurance program?
Should Connecticut offer health insurance for everyone (sometimes called Medicare for all)?

If you had to decide what should be closed to contain the spread of the virus, which would you choose?

If you were voting on the state budget, would you vote to spend less, spend the same, or spend more on each of the following programs?

Please check one box for each program:
