the first step toward restoring tolls to Connecticut roadways. House Bill 6200 was approved Friday by the committee.

All funds generated by the tolls would be used to fund the expansion of the highway. The bill now goes to the floor of the House.

The Governor includes in her budget a 40% increase to the cost of a bus fare and a 10% increase on train fares. As Chair of the Transportaion Committee Rep. Guerrera understands the negative impact her proposal would have on the people of Connecticut and how it would hurt access to mass transit.
