This week's honorees are Carole Norrish and the crew from Altrusa International Inc.; the seamstresses of Friends of Ecole Agape; Bette Stern; and Dr. Martha Steinberg and her daughter Liz, all of whom have ties to Mansfield and have dedicated their spare time to making PPE.

This week's honoree is Sarah Kaufold, the cofounder of Songs for Comfort, which produces free choral arrangements and performances of music to brighten the day of those in hospitals recovering from Coronavirus. The group has a website and YouTube channel.

Together, this group stepped up to the challenge of making enough masks for the 100 residents of Juniper Hill Village, a senior housing complex in Mansfield.

"Our food service workers have continued to serve the Mansfield community through the COVID-19 pandemic, providing crucial support to families who face financial strains under social distancing," Rep. Haddad said. "School lunch staff are on the front lines of the crisis and their commitment has been invaluable in helping to keep our community going. While school children are learning at home, they’ve been busy making meals and distributing them to families to ensure that no kid goes hungry."

Dr. Moynihan’s dedication and sense-of-humor is on full display in the photo Jeannette sent along with her nomination; “Neil - and his car - are ready to battle the novel virus for another day.”

For his organizing efforts these past weeks, two separate people—Heather and Julia—nominated Louis.

I am launching an effort with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to honor our friends and neighbors who are going above and beyond.

"Last year, our community made our voices heard when voting to approve funds for the construction of E. O. Smith's new roof and solar panels, and I'm glad we were able to correct the problem and allow these clean, sustainable solar panels to be installed on our higher school.," said Rep. Haddad.
