In February, at the beginning of the 2022 legislative session, I stood beside my legislative colleagues and committed to addressing our children's mental and behavioral health needs. I'm pleased to share that we delivered on our commitment. On Wednesday, three transformative pieces of legislation were signed into law so that our children can access the care they need to be their best, authentic selves.
On Saturday, May 21st, I will host a "legislative walk-and-talk." I'll be available to discuss state issues as well as answer any questions you may have about the 2022 legislative session. The walk will begin at the Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge at 10:00 a.m.
Emergency rooms across Connecticut have been inundated with patients awaiting placement into inpatient psychiatric beds. Our schools are facing a shortage of mental health professionals and have sounded the alarm on the need to expand access and support services.
This Thursday, April 21, is Women-Owned Business Day. The Women's Business Development Council (WBDC) will host a virtual celebration at 10 am. Join CT-based entrepreneurs and legislative hosts to celebrate the women-owned businesses that the WBDC has collaborated with over the last quarter century, and the impact they’ve had on Connecticut’s economy.
