2021 Constituent Survey

As your state representative, my priority for the 2021 session of the General Assembly is Connecticut's response to the pandemic. Connecticut has garnered praise for its handling of the pandemic which has been guided by science and informed by experts. But there is always room for improvement. I’m sending this questionnaire to you for feedback to help in our decision-making going forward.

The availability of vaccines is a great blessing. We know it will take months for the vaccine to be rolled out to all of Connecticut's residents. In the meantime, respect one another by staying home when possible, wearing a mask, maintaining social distance and offering a kind word to your friends and neighbors. It's been a long haul. We are in the home stretch.

In Hartford, there is much to do to tackle COVID's assault on jobs, homes, schools, and health. Please take a moment to fill out this questionnaire which will help me to understand your priorities.

Connecticut’s response to COVID - 19
As we begin to make decisions in the upcoming legislative session, let there be no doubt I will listen to doctors, scientists, and other health care professionals about fighting the pandemic. There have been too many deaths, too many patients, not enough federal help, and too many angry people who refuse to understand how serious this is.
Do you support Governor Lamont’s efforts to suppress the spread of the virus?
Do you follow the advice of health professionals, and support staying home, wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and washing your hands?
Should the state give money to businesses and their employees who have been hurt by the lack of business?
Should Connecticut allow residents and businesses to buy into the state’s health insurance program?
Should Connecticut offer health insurance for everyone (sometimes called Medicare for all)?

If you had to decide what should be closed to contain the spread of the virus, which would you choose?

If you were voting on the state budget, would you vote to spend less, spend the same, or spend more on each of the following programs?

Please check one box for each program:
