Rep. Pat Miller co-chairs 4th WBDC at the Capitol

May 3, 2017

I was delighted to co-chair the fourth annual WBDC event that took place at the State Capitol on May 3. 16 presenters spoke to nearly 200 attendees. Women-owned businesses are growing at a rate five times faster than male-owned businesses. It is important that we support these amazing entrepreneurs and give them the tools they need to thrive.

The work of the Women’s Business Development Council is admirable. The resources, guidance and education they provide to these wonderful entrepreneurial women are vital and critical for their success. Here is a news story from the event.

I am encouraged by the many women, like me, that in spite of the tough existing cultural gender biases, still rise above, moving forward with determination, courage, resolve and creativity to reach our goals.
