Legislature Approves Wallingford’s Water Line Reimbursement

June 7, 2019

Wallingford’s legislative delegation worked together to restore Wallingford’s water line reimbursement costs. This was held up after the town completed the work to supply water to homes on South Broad Street after the state’s grant deadline.

Under HB 7413, The Town will now receive $176,332 for their expenditure, which was first authorized in legislation passed by the late Rep. Mary Fritz.

Reps. Mushinsky and Rep. Vin Candelora (R-86), members of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee worked to get the support of the committee and the entire bipartisan delegation worked to pass the bill in both the House and Senate.

The town had completed the work, the residents had clean water, and it was appropriate to allow the grant to be released.
