Young Elected Officials National Convening In D.C.

July 28, 2015

I was happy to attend the 10th annual Young Elected Officials (YEO) National Convening this weekend in Washington D.C. I joined 300 other young elected officials and participated in many trainings, workshops, and lectures held by government experts and influential national figures.

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to meet with other young legislators from across the country, learn from them, and also highlight all that Connecticut has accomplished this past legislative session.

It was an incredibly productive meeting and I look forward to putting all that I have learned to good use, advocating on behalf of East Haven.

About YEO Network

The YEO Network was founded in 2005 in order to unite elected leaders ages 35 and under. The annual YEO Network National Convening provides YEOs with an opportunity to grow as public servants with access to workshops and trainings designed specifically for leaders in their positions.

Members of the YEO Network spend three days sharing policy ideas, connecting with strategic partners, gaining valuable skills and leadership training, and networking with the most innovative progressive leaders in the country.
