Funding For Berlin

House Majority Leader Joe Aresimowicz is pleased to announce that the State Bond Commission has approved a $739,604 grant-in-aid to the town of Berlin. The items were approved by the Commission on Monday, January 12th.

"This funding is crucial to our municipalities," said Aresimowicz. "It is vital to helping our town determine their budget and ensuring that Berlin is able to meet our community's needs. We made a promise not to cut municipal aid and I am proud that we have been able to deliver on that promise."

Berlin has a commitment of providing efficient, essential services to its community members, and has been taking the necessary steps revitalize the downtown area. This grant-in-aid will allow the town to maintain and improve its infrastructure and support services to the community.

"Berlin is grateful to hear that we have been awarded a municipal grant," said Berlin Mayor Rachel Rochette. "Majority Leader Joe Aresimowicz's leadership, hard work and dedication to the town of Berlin allows us to work with him and the legislature to ensure that we are able to continue to provide the services our residents expect."

The items were approved by the Bond Commission on Monday, January 12th.
