I am pleased to announce that Groton will receive a grant of $477,647 for general improvements to school buildings in our community. This grant was awarded during the Special Meeting of the State Bond Commission earlier today. 

The funds awarded can be used for various projects, such as improvements to communications/technology systems, lockers, parking areas, athletics fields, roof repairs and the installation or upgrade of security equipment. 

This grant money will help ensure that the schools in Groton will remain excellent for years to come.
