That is why I am proud to support the Paid Family Leave program. This program not only gives workers the peace of mind that they deserve, but it also helps businesses both big and small. 

Through a paid leave program, workers will no longer have to sacrifice their mental and physical health for a paycheck. Having a healthy workforce doesn't just impact the employee;  it also has a positively impacts  businesses as well. A healthier workforce will most likely be a more productive one. Additionally, because the program is employee funded, small businesses who wouldn't normally be able to afford paid leave are able to offer it to their workers.

Paid leave will create a financial safety net for students who need to work to pay for school, single parents,  and a person tasked with helping an ailing relative. There is a time in almost everyone’s life when this will be a life changing benefit.
