The Connecticut House of Representatives held a virtual session day at the State Capitol.
My colleagues and I voted on some important bills, including a piece of legislation that addresses constituent concerns across the state with respect to inequitable taxation when working from home.
During these trying times, we should be making it easier for our residents, not capitalizing on their difficult situation. That is why lawmakers are fighting to defend remote workers from double taxation.
The CT Department of Labor will now offer in-person employment services at Regional American Job Centers (AJC). Representatives from AJC are available to provide assistance with resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills and other career related concerns.
Please note, individuals must make an appointment before visiting a center. Services will also be available virtually, by phone, email or video conferencing.
