Groton City Democratic Primary this Monday

On Monday, March 8, the City of Groton will hold the Democratic primary for Mayor. 

Absentee ballots are available through the City Clerk's office until Friday, March 5. All absentee ballots must be placed in the ballot box located  in front of the Municipal Building by 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 8. Same Day registration will not be available on the day of the Primary.

Individuals can request an emergency absentee ballot on the day of the Primary.

There will be two polling stations for those who wish to vote in-person:

  • Municipal Building, 295 Meridian Street (District 3)
  • Zbierski House at Eastern Point Beach, 1 Beach Pond Rd (District 2)

The polls will open at 6 am and close at 8 pm. If you choose to vote in person, please remember to wear a mask and socially distance from others. If you have any other questions, please visit the City of Groton website.
