Free Youth Admission to CT Museums this Summer

July 1, 2021

Starting today, July 1, all children—plus one accompanying adult--will receive free admission to over 90 museums across Connecticut. This program will be offered through September 6th to all Connecticut children, ages 18 and under.

This initiative will be available at museums, science centers, aquariums, and historical landmarks across the state. One of the participants is the locally based Danbury Museum.  The museum announced that guided tours will  FREE for all visitors, starting today through September 4. Click here to book a tour date.

The 'Connecticut Summer at the Museum' program also awarded grants to participating museums. I reached out to CT Humanities and asked them to include the Danbury Museum in the grant process. As a result, the museum received more than $13,000. These funds will greatly benefit a staple of our community as they recover from COVID related financial difficulties. I was proud to advocate on the behalf of Danbury and secure these funds.

I hope you and your kids take time to explore all our state has to offer this summer- especially throughout hot weeks like this one!  Click here to view the full list of participants.
