Boosting Our Economic Competitiveness
If Connecticut is to make true economic progress and attract businesses to our state, then we must first have a detailed understanding of our business and tax climate and our overall competitiveness.
I am happy to announce new legislation creating a Commission on Economic Competitiveness designed to analyze Connecticut’s business tax policy climate and develop policies that promote economic growth in the state.
I look forward to working with the commission as Chair of the Commerce Committee and reviewing their findings later this year.
Commission on Economic Competitiveness
- Will consist of:
- members of state economic agencies
- members of the business community
- Will sumbit findings and recommendations no later than January 1, 2016 to the General Assembly
- Will then continue to submit similar reports annually.
