State Rep. David Arconti (D-Danbury) welcomed news that the State Bond Commission is expected to approve funding for Danbury’s Naugatuck Valley Community College campus, when it meets next Friday, January 29th.

$2 million has been placed on the agenda for laboratory equipment at the Danbury branch.

“This local campus is important for students who want to stay close to home while they pursue an affordable college degree to help them get ahead,” Rep. Arconti said. “I am pleased to see funding set aside for necessary updates to research and laboratory equipment, as it will help the school continue to deliver a top-notch educational experience.”

Arconti noted, “Providing the essential tools for a quality education and training tomorrow’s high tech workers is a priority of the state. I thank Governor Malloy for his support of this facility.”
