Marijuana Legalization Talks Renewed
This session, I introduced HB 5209, a bill concerning the regulation, taxation and use of marijuana. I am working to engage my leadership in a conversation to at least allow a public hearing on this bill. According to a Quinnipiac Poll last year, more than 60% of Connecticut voters support allowing adults to legally possess small amounts of marijuana for personal use. We should be looking at taking marijuana off the streets, and tap into the revenue its legal sale would generate to help alleviate our deficit.
