Overdose Awareness Day

August 31, 2021

August 31 was International Overdose Awareness Day. The opioid crisis has affected communities in Connecticut and across the country.

I joined Governor Lamont, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Attorney General Tong, and a bipartisan group of state legislators for an event outside of the Capitol.

Together, we can support those struggling with addiction and their families by understanding the disease and reducing the stigma of opioid use disorder. To learn more about opioid use and find resources in your community, visit liveloud.org.
