March 3, 2016

Berlin State Rep. Joe Aresimowicz, with students from Griswold Elementary School, served as a special guest reader. Rep. Aresimowicz’s visit was part of the school’s participation in “Read Across America,” a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually during the week of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.

House Majority Leader Joe Aresimowicz, who represents Berlin and Southington in the General Assembly, visited Griswold Elementary School to be a special guest reader.

Rep. Aresimowicz’s visit was part of the school’s participation in “Read Across America,” a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually during the week of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.

“I had a blast reading to the students at Griswold,” said Rep. Aresimowicz. “This event is one of my favorite things to do every year, so I am very grateful that Mrs. Salina and her students invited me to be a part of her classroom again this year.”

“Having Rep. Aresimowicz visit Griswold School and read to our children is a very special event that we look forward to every year,” said Danielle Salina, Library Media Specialist at Griswold Elementary School. “Not only does Rep. Aresimowicz entertain the children and leave them laughing, but he’s also mastered the artful retelling of Dr. Seuss.”
