Bills Passed During the House's Tuesday Session

April 20, 2022

We’re going to switch things up again and provide you with daily updates that will include snapshots of the legislation passed each day here in the House of Representatives as we head towards Sine Die.

Fun Fact and “Latin Moment”. Sine Die is what you will hear the Speaker declare on the final day with the final banging of the gavel. It translates to “without a day” and here under the dome, simply means we have adjourned with no future date to resume the current body. My high school Latin teacher, Mrs. Monahan DiNoia, is going to love this…assuming she’s signed up for these. Hey, Mrs. MD – you there?

So on our way to sine die, Tuesday’s agenda included legislation to support our arts and culture industries, make it easier for supermarkets to donate surplus food, and further strengthen access to reproductive healthcare.
