Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Colleagues,
Please see below for a message from the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood on the infant formula shortage, a link to a documentary on cell phone radiation, updates from Connecticut's Kid Governor, and the daily COVID-19 report.

The current infant formula shortage has created a serious challenge for families in Connecticut. While the federal government is taking steps to resolve the problem, we know that many families who rely on formula need help right now.
OEC created an infant formula fact sheet to:
  • Offer tips on finding formula in stores and online
  • Help you contact organizations that may have a supply
  • Provide other guidance that may help

Check out the infant formula fact sheet — and make sure to share it with families you work with.

Makhi and His Cabinet Visit the Capitol
Last month, Kid Governor Makhi and his Cabinet visited the State Capitol in Hartford. Makhi, Brian, Elizabeth, Madelyn, Olivia, and Satvik (and their families) toured the Capitol with the League of Women Voters, met with Governor Ned Lamont in his office, did a television interview with Dennis House for "This Week in Connecticut" on WTNH, were introduced on the floor of the House of Representatives, met with their legislators for one-on-one meetings, visited with Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, and toured the Supreme Court and Museum of Connecticut History.

Makhi and his Cabinet have been writing blog posts about their day at the Capitol and their platforms for your students to read - be sure to share the blog with your class!
