Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Colleagues,

In the past week, we've seen numerous headlines indicating deteriorating environmental conditions happening across the globe. This cannot become normal.

As we approach the end of 2022 and the start of the 2023 session in January, we receive more and more information on new precedents of environmental catastrophes. While the planetary situation declines, we are reminded to stay vigilant of how we impact our surroundings.

As legislators, we must continue to draft legislation and work alongside state agencies and non-governmental organizations to change their policies so we may adapt and minimize our negative impacts on the environment.
