SWORN IN TO SECOND TERM

 

HARTFORD — Democratic State Representative Amy Morrin Bello was sworn in last week to begin serving her second legislative term representing the 28th District, which covers Wethersfield. 

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the House chamber, as the State Capitol and Legislative Office Building opened for the start of the 2023 Legislative Session last Wednesday. 

"I am honored and thrilled to be back in Hartford serving a new term on behalf of all my constituents in Wethersfield," said Rep. Morrin Bello. 

For this term, Rep. Morrin Bello has been appointed to serve in two new leadership roles as Vice Chair of the Government Administration and Elections Committee (GAE), and as Assistant Majority Leader. Additionally, she will serve on the Transportation and the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committees.

"I am grateful to Speaker Matt Ritter and Majority Leader Jason Rojas for giving me an opportunity to serve in two new leadership roles to help move our legislative priorities forward," Morrin Bello said. "Serving Wethersfield and all our residents is a great privilege. I look forward to a productive and exciting legislative session."
