As a newly elected representative, it is important to meet as many residents as I can in Wilton, Ridgefield, and New Canaan as well as conduct my work in Hartford. In addition to attending public hearings and committee meetings, I have been all over the 42^nd district meeting with residents.

One of the best parts of my job is speaking with you, sharing ideas, hearing your concerns, and working on serving you better. That's why I'm hoping you can come out tonight at 7 p.m. to hear my legislative priorities at a "Legislative Dialogue" with Senator Ceci Maher. Please come out and share your questions!

In addition, please come out next week to support the women who are leaders in Ridgefield! It's a celebration of the best-of-the-best put on by the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee. This is a casual event so come as you are and enjoy some light refreshments!

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of joining the Ridgefield Democratic Delegation to share our priorities at a "Meet Your Legislators" meeting.

We talked about our commitment to improving education, the environment, employment opportunities and all while being fiscally responsible. I want to thank everyone involved for such a great event.

On Friday, I was honored to see Thomas Conlan sworn in as the new Wilton Chief of Police and Robert Cipolla as the Wilton Deputy Police Chief at the Wilton Library. 

Senator Cici Maher and I presented Chief Conlan with a Certificate of Congratulations from the General Assembly. We all wish them the best of luck with their new roles in our community.

I was absolutely honored to attend the Mohegan Forward Tribe Legislative Reception Friday morning. State Representatives, mayors, and first selectmen from both parties were invited!

We learned about their new business activities, community presence, and ongoing efforts to preserve and share their rich history through education.

Mohegan Tribal Elders gave my friend Rep. Aundré Bumgardner and I a behind-the-scenes tour of the Convention Center, Hotel, and Casino.  Many thanks to “Two Dogs” Bruce Bozsun and “Yellow Hawk” Phil Russell for their hospitality and for sharing their rich cultural traditions and stories.
