Updates from State Rep. Chris Poulos - February 23, 2023

February 23, 2023

Leading up to Southington Reads 2023 and in celebration of Women's History Month, a representative from the United States Army Women's Museum will join the Southington Public Library March 13 at 6 p.m. on Zoom to discuss the Angels of Bataan, members of the United States Army Nurse Corps and the United States Navy Nurse Corps who were stationed in the Philippines at the outset of the Pacific War and served during the Battle of the Philippines.

The U.S. Army Women's Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated to Army women. The Museum honors women's contributions to the Army from 1775 to the present. Its archive and artifact collection are one of the most comprehensive and expansive collections in the world of primary and secondary documents pertaining to the history of U.S. Army women.

This is a hybrid program. You may connect with Zoom from home or come to the library and watch the talk on our big television in the café. Please click HERE to register.
