24/7 Mental Health Services for Children On the Way

I am advocating to get more funding for a mental health facility aimed for children that will provide 24/7 care right here in Waterbury. Wellmore Health Care is renovating a 6,600 square foot urgent crisis center on East Main Street.

Wellmore’s goal is to serve children and families who need additional mental health support while preventing a trip to the emergency room. The facility will take in children with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.

Wellmore plans to welcome patients at three other urgent crisis centers around the state after the Waterbury grand opening in mid-April. The other locations will be in New Haven, Hartford, and New London.
