Dear Neighbor,

The location for the constituent coffee hour that is scheduled for this Saturday has changed. It will now be held at Café Dolce in Norwalk. I will be available from 11 am – 12:00 pm.

The purpose of this event is to provide the residents of the 143rd district with an opportunity to learn more about me, my legislative priorities, and other goals for the ongoing session and beyond.

I will also collect items for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC). They are looking for items needed in safe houses, including but not limited to toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, shampoo, body wash, and self-care products. I will be available to accept donations from 11 am – 12:15 pm at Café Dolce.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to my office.

March is Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month and March 8 was International Women's Day. A day to celebrate women who have inspired change throughout history, and recognize those who continue to fight for the fair and equitable treatment of women and girls around the world. I am also thrilled to celebrate the many accomplishments of women in Connecticut and beyond throughout the coming weeks!

Let us continue to make Connecticut a safe, fair and equitable place for women and girls. I hope you can join me in recognizing the achievements of those who continue to inspire us and pave the way for the next generation of female leaders and innovators.

K-9 Veterans Day
This week we commemorated K-9 Veterans Day at the Capitol. Thank you to my colleague Rep. Genga for organizing and hosting this wonderful ceremony where we honored those K-9s who keep us safe. We got to meet many of them which was a highlight of my day so of course I had to share two pictures with you of K-9 Nestor and Bocci, the new K-9 of the Capitol State Police who welcomed all the pups to the People’s House.

I hope everyone has a great week and a very happy  and safe St. Patrick’s Day!

Sincerely,

Dominique Johnson
State Representative
