I continue to be a strong advocate for nonprofits including my friends at AdvanceCT. That organization works to engage, retain, and recruit businesses as well as advance overall economic competitiveness in Connecticut. Several top officials from AdvanceCT visited the Capitol on Tuesday to promote its services.

In collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), AdvanceCT strives to build a place where business, government, higher education, and nonprofits come together to implement high impact and inclusive economic development solutions for the state. The nonprofit regularly meets and advises corporate executives, site consultants, entrepreneurs, and individuals on the pros of investing in Connecticut.

I fully support AdvanceCT’s efforts to expand and will urge my colleagues to include more funding for valuable nonprofits, like this one, in the state budget.
