Road Closure for Mixmaster Rehabilitation Project
July 31, 2023The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will close exit 31 on Route 8 northbound to I-84 eastbound for approximately six weeks starting tonight at 10 P.M. The construction work is tied to the Route 8/I-84 Mixmaster rehabilitation project in Waterbury.
Drivers looking to access I-84 eastbound from Route 8 northbound will need to take exit 35, utilize the U-turn to proceed southbound on Route 8, and then take exit 31. Advanced signage will be posted along both Route 8 and exit 35.
Please note the start of this closure is subject to change based on weather and CTDOT resources.
