Representative Godfrey's Advocacy Earns A Perfect CTLCV Environmental Score

October 14, 2015

The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) awarded me a 100 percent rating for his support and advocacy of environmental initiatives in their 2011 Environmental Scorecard.

The league is a bipartisan, statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting Connecticut's environment by making it a priority for our elected leaders.

As a legislative watchdog, CTLCV helps to pass laws that protect our air, water, wildlife, open space, and our health. CTLCV elects pro-environment candidates to office, informs them on issues, and holds all of our elected officials accountable.

I am particularly proud to have co-sponsored the Paint Stewardship bill this year. It is important that consumers have a safe and convenient way to dispose of the potentially harmful products in architectural paint. The Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority was instrumental in gathering support for this new law.
