Honored by the NAACP

November 6, 2015

I am honored to be named one of the 100 most influential Blacks in Connecticut for 2015 by Connecticut’s chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). I was honored at the organization’s 50th Annual State Convention on Friday, November 6th.

There are so many African Americans in Connecticut who influence and inspire me each and every day, so to be counted among the state’s 100 most influential Blacks this year is a tremendous honor. With this honor also comes the responsibility to serve as a role model for young Blacks in Connecticut, and this is a responsibility that I will not take lightly.
