"How We Feel" App

April 24, 2020

Getting ahead of this pandemic means we need to rely on science, data, and empirical evidence. To that end, the State of Connecticut recently announced a partnership with the creators of a new survey method intended to give scientists the critical information they need in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. The ‘How We Feel’ app is an anonymous, safe way you can provide scientists with helpful data.

The app was created by leading health experts and scientists from across the country and is meant to allow doctors to track the spread of the coronavirus by having people voluntarily input how they feel each day.

“We need to provide all residents of Connecticut with the best technology to identify whether they are feeling ill and need to get tested for COVID-19," said Yale School of Medicine's Dr. Albert Ko in a statement released by Governor Lamont's office. "We can all be assured that by partnering with the trusted and high-caliber doctors and scientists who created 'How We Feel,' we can provide the best care with the highest standards of data privacy.”

The app is available to download for free, and it does not require logging in or the sharing of any personal details (such as name or email address).
