Main Street Working Group created

I am thrilled to announce that I worked with my colleagues in the legislature to create a legislative working group that will work together to study existing policies and identify opportunities to support local Downtown Main Street across the state.The initiative, Connecticut Main Street Group, was created to address concerns about neglected downtown areas in cities and towns and the need to restore vitality, local connectivity and sustainability in order to spur economic growth.

US Census Job Alert!

Just recently, the U.S. Census Bureau announced that it increased its hourly rate for census takers in Connecticut from $21.00 to $23.00 an hour! They are hiring for a variety of temporary jobs, including census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff, and supervisory staff.
