Time To Analyze Lamont Budget Proposal

February 28, 2019

Governor Ned Lamont presented his biennial budget proposal last week for Connecticut.

My job now is to analyze the proposal and sit down with my colleagues, state and local officials and especially the people of Hamden and New Haven to decide what changes have to be made so the budget truly meets our needs.

A good budget should reflect our values and make our state an even better place to live, work and raise a family. With that goal in mind, I urge you to speak out about any issues or concerns you may have about the budget or other legislation we will be considering over the next few months.

Your voice is important and I need to know what your thoughts are as we work on the budget. To keep you aware of what is happening at the Capitol, I will continue to send updates like this.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns at Robyn.Porter@cga.ct.gov or 860-240-1371.
