Help For Haitians Affected by Earthquake

The 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on Saturday morning devastated Jeremie and many surrounding villages and the aftermath continues to affect Haitian families there and here. The Haitian Health Foundation that is operated and funded in Norwich, continues its decades-long commitment operating six clinics around the area of the hard-hit town and surrounding villages on the island.

$16 Million for Special Education Services

This week, more than $16 million in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief II (ESSER II) funds was made available to 170 school districts across Connecticut. This relief money will allow schools throughout our state to provide special education services to more than 80,000 students during the upcoming school year.
