Bipartisan Budget Approved
This budget was a tough vote ...but needed.
In the darkest of days...we found compromise. This budget is the product of a lot of friendship and goodwill...a lot of people had to bend to get to this outcome.
Legislators had to weigh the scale...we faced a $3.5 billion deficit...schools would close...cities and towns on the brink of insolvency. In the end, more than 120 voted for this budget.
