Raise the Minimum Wage
One of my legislative priorities for this session is to make sure that workers are paid a living wage so that no one who works full time lives in poverty.
By raising the minimum wage, our residents who work an honest day can support a family and feel pride in sustaining themselves.
We have proposed HB 5004, An Act Increasing the Minimum Wage, that aims to provide more economic security to Connecticut families. The bill was referred to the Joint Committee on Labor and Public Employees yesterday. The Senate has also proposed an identical bill.
