It's Time To Apply For Heating Assistance

August 28, 2019

The back-to-school season serves as a reminder that the cold months of winter are fast approaching and many residents across the state will be in need of assistance to pay their heating bills.

The Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) - designed to help offset the winter heating costs of Connecticut's lower income households, is now open at community action agencies around the state. CEAP is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Block Grant. Please click HERE for additional information.

This program is administered by the Department of Social Services, and coordinated by regional Community Action Agencies, in cooperation with municipal and other non-profit human service agencies. For additional information about programs and services provided by CT Community Action Agencies, please click HERE.

I would like to encourage you to submit your application, or share this information with someone you may know that could benefit.
