Anthem, HHC Accord -- Questions PersistNovember 20, 2017
Hartford HealthCare and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield finally announced an agreement on reimbursement rates, but there still needs to be a discussion on how to avoid the interruptions of health care that occurred for tens of thousands of Connecticut patients during the seven-week contract stalemate, Rep. Sean Scanlon says.
Last week, Representative Scanlon, House chair of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee, announced today that his committee would hold will hold a public information forum on Nov. 28 followed by a public hearing on the Anthem, HHC dispute. The forum and hearing will still be held, Scanlon said.
The forum will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, in Room 2C of the Legislative Office Building. Representatives from both companies have been invited to participate. The committee will then hold a public hearing later in the day at noon in the same LOB room.
