I am thrilled that the State Bond Commission approved $176,000 in state bonding funding that will provide important upgrades and improvements to Voluntown’s Constitution Field. These upgrades, set to begin in June 2016, will include replacing the stairs and fencing, along with adding new lighting and ADA permitted ramps.

I am so pleased the State Bond Commission approved a $2 million state grant for United Community and Family Services (UCFS). This $2 million comes on top of the nearly $2 million UCFS also received in January 2015. These additional funds will allow UCFS to complete construction of the expanded health center in Jewett City.

The plan to tear down and rebuild Q House today received a shot in the arm – state funding...the State Bond Commission has approved $14.5 million in state funding for the project. Q House is an important community institution. There has been a hole in the Dixwell neighborhood since Q House closed more than 10 years ago.
