2022 Constituent Survey

The next legislative session begins on February 9, 2022, and ends on May 4, 2022. Even session years, such as the 2022 legislative session, are short session years compared to the six-month sessions during odd years. Beginning this February, the legislature only has four months to pass bills that will make a positive difference in the lives of you and your family. I need your help in prioritizing what I advocate for the most.

Would you please help me create the legislative agenda for the 27th District by taking this survey? I need to know your priorities to advocate for Newington effectively.

Thank you for your participation. Your voice matters to me.

Which areas of State Government should I prioritize this session?

Please number 1 to 12 with your top priorities, with 1 being the highest.

There Ought To Be A Law…
Working Together
I believe in a collaborative approach to governing with my constituents. Since Connecticut’s legislature is part-time, I rely on your expertise in different professions and backgrounds to guide me. What areas can you commit to partnering to serve our district?
(Check all that apply)
I’d like to hear from you about what I can to do be more accessible to you. Aside from voting at the Capitol, one of my main jobs is to make sure that I am always available for the residents of Newington, whether it’s helping with an issue you may have with a state agency, listening to your policy ideas, or attending community events. What should I be doing more of?

Please number 1 to 7 with your top priorities, with 1 being the highest.

I believe our cost of living is rising too fast, and the middle-class needs more help. I’ve begun to tackle this by delivering millions of additional dollars in state aid to Newington to stabilize property taxes, enhancing utility companies’ regulations to lower costs, and reducing income taxes for thousands of residents. There is still a lot more work to be done. Where should I focus further efforts to reduce your cost of living?

Please number 1 to 8 with your top priorities, with 1 being the highest.
