REP. URBAN CALLS FOR ANIMAL ADVOCATES IN COURT PROCEEDINGS
Rep. Urban held a press conference in support of “Desmond’s Law,” which would allow law students to serve as animal advocates in court for animals being used in custody or abuse cases. Animal abuse cases are handled very differently than human abuse cases in court, with very few even being heard. Rep. Urban’s law hopes to address this problem by giving abused animals an advocate in the courtroom. READ MORE

REP. URBAN SEEKING TO BAN TOXIC FLAME RETARDANTS IN CHILDREN’S PRODUCTS
Rep. Urban held a press conference with the Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Connecticut and advocates in favor of HB 6806 An Act Concerning Toxic Flame Retardants in Children’s Products.
