Legislators Examining Lamont Budget Plan

Governor Ned Lamont presented his biennial budget proposal yesterday and as legislators our job now is to analyze it, meet with state, local officials – and especially the people of New Haven – to discuss the governor’s ideas and ultimately decide what changes have to be made so the final budget draft truly meets the state’s needs.

A good budget should reflect our values and make our state an even better place to live, work and raise a family. With that goal in mind, I urge you to speak out about any issues or concerns you may have about the budget or other legislation we will be considering over the next few months.
