The 2024 legislative session ends in less than a month and we have some work to do. Our focus will be trained on our priority bills, which include early childcare and education, furthering protections for our seniors, and the implementation of certain climate change measures.

A lot is happening in our area this weekend, from the start of the HOP service in Stonington to a total eclipse visit on Monday. Lastly, a good luck wish to both the UConn men's and women's basketball teams, who are both in the Final Four in the same year for the fifth time!

I will keep you abreast of legislative updates important to the constituents of the 41st district. In the meantime, please check out my latest newsletter. I believe there is a little something in it for everyone.

We are surviving and advancing during the 2024 legislative session for sure. We have moved accordingly on a couple of House priorities regarding our seniors and the environment, of which I am proud, but we have more to do before the end of the session on May 8th, and we will do it.

I hope you are all doing well. Warmer temperatures are here and so is March Madness! We're also in the midst of the 2024 legislative session, a short one, ending on May 8th. We have a lot more work to do in a short period, and we will do it. I was happy to see HB 5001, a bill in support of protecting our seniors, is moving right along. I have included some news specific to the constituents of the 41st district as well.

I attended several committee meetings and public hearings all in the interest of serving you and making our community even better. A thank you to those who came out to my Coffee Hour at the Ditty Bag on Saturday. I am already looking forward to next month's event. As a reminder, I hold the Coffee Hours at the Ditty Bag on the first Saturday of the month. I hope to see you on April 6th!

The beginning of March means the end of the 2024 session is less than 70 days away. While I have been hustling to public hearings and committee meetings and working to pass legislation that will help make life for the constituents of the 41st district a little easier, I am slowing down this Saturday for my monthly Coffee Hour at the Ditty Bag.

It's been a fast and furious couple of weeks around here with meetings and public hearings. As a member of the Environment, Finance, Revenue and Bonding, and Planning and Development Committees, it's been busy but this is the work I enjoy doing for you, constituents of the 41st district.
