The bill I authored and introduced earlier this year in the General Assembly that will further protect the State’s tree canopy from unnecessary pruning and removal in cities and towns, signed into law by Governor Dannel P. Malloy, becomes effective on October 1, 2016.

I appreciate the Governor has signed into law a bill I authored and introduced that would prevent certain municipalities with magnet schools from charging tuition to Hamden and neighboring towns for the students they send to those magnet schools.

I am pleased the Governor has signed into law the tree trimming bill I introduced and authored that was approved earlier this year in the General Assembly.

I am very pleased and appreciate the positive reaction I have received since the bill I introduced and authored that would prevent municipalities with magnet schools from charging tuition to Hamden and neighboring towns for their out of district students was unanimously approved in the General Assembly.

The bill I authored and introduced that would prevent certain municipalities with magnet schools from charging tuition to Hamden and neighboring towns for the students they send to those magnet schools now goes to the Governor for his signature.

My colleagues in the House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted for a bill I authored and introduced to protect the state’s tree canopy from unnecessary pruning and removal.

I am very pleased my colleagues in the House of Representatives unanimously approved a bill I introduced and authored that prevents municipalities with magnet schools from charging tuition to neighboring towns for their out of district students.

I was pleased to meet with the residents of the Davenport-Dunbar Senior Residence to fight for maintaining transportation service that they rely on and need.
