On Thursday July 16th I will be hosting two Zoom Virtual Town Halls - I hope you will be able to join me! At 1p.m. I will be discussing key issues affecting seniors in today’s world with some fabulous panelists who are experts in this field. Later that afternoon at 5p.m., I will be examining the state’s school reopening plan with some local district superintendents.
I received the notice below from the CT Department of Transportation about a project on Route 7 in Norwalk. There will be lane closures between July 20th and September 11th during this construction, so please read the notice to avoid the traffic!
Although Connecticut has done a great job containing the COVID virus, cases are spiking in other parts of the country that have eased quarantine restrictions. As a precaution, Governor Lamont announced that Phase 3 of reopening, which was expected to roll out on July 20th, has been delayed indefinitely.
I hope you and your loved ones have had a chance to enjoy the nice warm weather and are excited for the days ahead. As we monitor the ever-evolving stream of information related to the pandemic, I am encouraged by Connecticut's declining numbers as well as the overall cooperation from residents.
