With a focus on supporting education, subsidizing childcare, and providing for municipal services, State Rep. Nick Gauthier, D-38 is applauding millions of dollars in additional funding for the 38th District — comprising Waterford and a portion of Montville — in the second year of Connecticut’s biennial budget.

Thanks to the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP), our Connecticut State Parks and trails are among the gems of our state that shine the brightest!

Spring has arrived, and so have the session days, which will come fast and furious over the next few weeks.

As many Connecticut families begin their spring cleaning, it’s also a great time to safely clear out unused or expired medications from your home. Proper disposal helps prevent misuse and protects our communities and environment.

It's been a busy and productive session so far, which has included extensive committee work and support for issues including universal school meals and just cause tenants rights protections, among other things.

Given how brutal the weather has been this winter, including two blizzards as well as very low temperatures, I am providing some resources for 38th District residents who may need some assistance.

The session opened on Wednesday this week and we immediately got to work.
